A gentle start

Start on your Mac

Open HelloBreak, choose apps, and set a daily allowance. Start management. Use the menu bar to stop and remove window covers at any time.

Set up individual websites

Install the local connector, then load the Chrome extension from chrome://extensions in developer mode. Add domains in HelloBreak and check that the extension says Connected. Do not also select the whole browser as an app if you only want website limits.

iPhone

The iPhone build uses Apple Screen Time APIs. Real-device verification is pending; temporary access is not available yet.

What to expect

HelloBreak is a self-control tool. Window changes can briefly reveal content. Quitting the Mac App ends window covers; an enabled Chrome extension retains known site restrictions until management is stopped. These controls can be bypassed by the device owner.
